Public Works and Highways Region III Director Roseller Tolentino has announced the reactivation of the department’s motorist assistance program, starting from December 24 to 26, and December 31, 2024 to January 2, 2025, in anticipation of the expected increase in travelers during the Christmas holidays.
Tolentino said that the 16 District Engineering Offices in the region will deploy their composite teams in 29 strategic locations within their respective jurisdictions, which will be operational 24/7.
“Equipment and service vehicles will also be on standby to provide assistance to pedestrians and motorists during this holiday season,” Tolentino added.
Tolentino also emphasized that they have instructed the Lakbay Alalay teams to coordinate with law enforcement agencies and local government units to ensure safe travel for the public.
