DPWH Pampanga 1st DEO set to deliver model community hospital

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 1st District Engineering Office (DEO), together with Pampanga Provincial Government and Apalit Local Government Unit (LGU) officials, recently inspected the ongoing Apalit Community Hospital, which is set for completion in 2026.

During the joint assessment on February 6, 2025, Apalit Mayor Oscar “Jun” Tetangco Jr., Municipal LGU members, Pampanga Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) Head Engr. Olimpio Pangan, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Head Engr. Arthur Punsalan, and other key personnel joined officials in reviewing project milestones and progress.

Project Engineer Engr. Rudolf Joseph Guilas presented the project’s accomplishments and expected impact, while District Engineer Almer Miranda and Assistant District Engineer Alfie Lejarde emphasized the importance of quality healthcare facilities in community development.

“Once completed, Apalit Community Hospital will provide accessible, affordable, and efficient medical care to residents of Apalit and nearby towns,” Miranda said.

Lejarde added that beyond healthcare, the project will stimulate economic growth by creating jobs in the medical sector and local community.

With strong support from Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, the Pampanga Provincial Government envisions the hospital as a model facility.

The project includes site development, parking spaces, state-of-the-art medical equipment, and full-capacity services aligned with Department of Health (DOH) standards.
