DPWH Bulacan 2nd DEO inaugurates P19.57M dialysis center in Santa Maria town

As part of its initiative to expand healthcare facilities and enhance medical service delivery, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) inaugurated a new Dialysis Center in Pulong Buhangin, Santa Maria, on August 22, 2024.

DPWH Bulacan 2nd DEO inaugurates P19.57M dialysis center in Santa Maria townwith advanced dialysis machines, spacious patient lounges, a water treatment room, business and doctor’s offices, a supply and storage room, and restroom facilities, this 336-square-meter treatment center is now ready to provide high-quality care to residents and nearby municipalities, enhancing patient comfort and accessibility.

According to District Engineer George Santos, the P19.57-million one-storey structure is expected to meet the community’s need for a well-equipped dialysis center and improve residents’ well-being.

“This center will be a vital resource for our community, particularly for those requiring regular dialysis treatment. It also stands as a testament to the successful partnership between the local government and the DPWH, showcasing our collective achievements in advancing public health delivery,” Santos remarked.

Meanwhile, Bulacan 6th District Representative Salvador Pleyto noted that this healthcare facility will offer much-needed relief to residents who previously had to travel long distances for treatment.

“Sobrang laking benepisyo po nito para sa ating mga residente at kalapit-bayan dahil hindi na po tayo mahihirapang pumunta pa o dumayo ng Maynila para magpagamot,” Pleyto said.

Also attending the ceremony were ANAKALUSUGAN Partylist Representative Ray Reyes, Municipal Mayor Bartolome Ramos, Vice Mayor Pablo Juan, Assistant District Engineer Edwin Abengaña, along with other local government officials and DPWH personnel.
