DILG Provincial Director Belina Herman emphasized the municipality’s exemplary performance in the SGLGIF program.

“Congratulations to the municipality of Pilar. I would like to commend them because they have received this award six times already. This is not an easy award to get; they really exerted effort and hard work to achieve this,” she said.

Herman also highlighted the successful completion of the project, which secured the 10th spot nationwide.

Meanwhile, Mayor Carlos Pizarro Jr. expressed gratitude to DILG for its support, highlighting the importance of the SGLGIF in improving community safety.

“This patrol vehicle will enhance our local force’s efficiency and rapid response capabilities. It will surely boost law enforcement efforts, ensuring a safer community for all,” he underscored.

The SGLGIF, formerly known as the Performance Challenge Fund, is an incentive given in the form of a financial grant to eligible local government units under the Local Governance Performance Management Program.
