These titles cover a total land area of more than 293.82 hectares located in Cabanatuan City and the municipalities of Pantabangan and Llanera.

In her message during the awarding ceremony, DAR Undersecretary for Field Operations Office Kazel Celeste emphasized that the mandate and services of the agency do not end with the awarding of land tiles because it is always associated with other support services.

These include the provision of farm-to-market roads, farm machinery, and equipment needed by ARBs.

“We want to inform you that DAR will not leave you because we are with you and will continue to provide support and programs for the ARBs,” Celeste pressed.

Recipients of regular land titles include five ARBs from Cabanatuan City, while e-titles were awarded to 155 farmers from barangay Cambitala in Pantabangan town, and six farmers from barangay Victoria in Llanera town.

DAR OIC-Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Officer Genoveva Talplacido clarified that the distributed titles are from the collective Certificate of Land Ownership Award which is awarded individually based on the area of occupation and ownership of the farmers.

She said the e-title and regular land title prove and certify the farmer’s land ownership.

In Nueva Ecija, there are still about 3,200 hectares that are in the process of validation as to who owns the land and will be the recipient of the land title.

One of the beneficiaries, Meyrilyn Moralida from barangay Cambitala in Pantabangan, expressed her gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and DAR because they received the land title that they have been waiting for so long.

“I thank our dear President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for tirelessly supporting programs for farmers. You can count on us to enrich our lands to the best of our ability,” Moralida said.

The distribution of land titles to ARBs is part of the commemorative activity in line with the 36th anniversary of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
