Thus said Captain Glenn Tiongco of Barangay Dapdap, this city, to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. during Lazatin’s distribution of rice and ham to officials of Barangay Dapdap on December 3, 2024.
“Pasalamat kami pung maragul kekayu kareng saup yu kareng tao kening Mabalacat,” Tiongco added.
On December 2, 2024, Lazatin began delivering his personal gifts of five kilos of rice and one box of ham to every barangay official.
“It’s my way of expressing gratitude to the hardworking barangay officials who ensure the smooth delivery of services to our communities,” Lazatin shared.
A total of 10,719 barangay officials in the First District of Pampanga will receive Lazatin’s personal gifts — 4,738 in Angeles City, 3,344 in Mabalacat City, and 2,637 in Magalang town.
Lazatin is set to begin the distribution in Magalang town on December 4, 2024.
This has been Lazatin’s yearly Holiday tradition in Angeles City since he was elected as Angeles City Councilor in 2014, and has now been expanded to include Mabalacat City and Magalang town.
It can be recalled that on October 1, 2024, Lazatin officially filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for Pampanga First District Representative.
With no opponent, Lazatin stands unopposed in the First District of Pampanga.
Lazatin’s legislative agenda highlights seven main areas: Health; Economy and Livelihood; Vulnerable and Marginalized Sectors (Children, Youth, Women, Senior Citizens, Persons with Disability (PWDs), Solo Parents, and LGBTQ); Environment; Education; Transportation; and Barangays.
According to Lazatin, his legislative agenda shall follow a basic tenet – ‘ALANG MALAKWAN’ – focusing on delivering public services to all sectors from all walks of life.
