CITY OF MALOLOS — The Province of Bulacan capped off 2025 with a major achievement after being recognized by the Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) as the Top Performing Province (Rank 1) for implementing programs, projects, and activities under the various banner programs of the DA.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando on Wednesday lauded the province’s agriculture workers, farmers, and extension workers for their unwavering dedication, noting that the award reflects the collective effort of those working behind the scenes to strengthen Bulacan’s agricultural sector.

“Ang pagkilalang ito ay bunga ng pagsusumikap, pagtitiyaga, at pagkakaisa ng ating mga manggagawa sa agrikultura at mga magsasaka. Ang kanilang mga sakripisyo at dedikasyon ang siyang sumisiguro sa seguridad sa pagkain para sa Bulacan at sa buong rehiyon,” the governor said. (This recognition is the result of the hard work, perseverance, and unity of our agricultural workers and farmers. Their sacrifices and dedication are what ensure food security for Bulacan and the entire region.)
Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO) Head Ma. Gloria SF. Carrillo likewise paid tribute to Bulacan’s farmers, describing them as the backbone of the province’s agricultural success, emphasizing that all programs and interventions implemented by the Provincial Government are anchored on improving farmers’ livelihoods.
In addition to the provincial citation, DA-RFO III also recognized Outstanding Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) in the region including Raymart C. Santiago of the Bulacan PAO who claimed the Top 4 for his excellence in implementing high-value crops programs.
Meanwhile, Magdalena H. Angeles of the Municipal Agriculture Office of Doña Remedios Trinidad earned the Top 7 rank in the same category.
