CTG MEMBER SURRENDERED TO AUTHORITIES

Camp General Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos — A member of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB), a Communist-Terrorist Group (CTG), voluntarily surrendered to the Bulacan PNP in the Municipality of San Rafael, Bulacan, on June 28, 2024.

Based on the report to PCol Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director, Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BUL PPO), the surrendered member of the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbong Bayan (RHB) of Apolonio – Mendoza Central Luzon Command was identified as alias Buboy, a 38-year-old male.

PLtCol Ismael Gauna, Force Commander, Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), said that on June 28, 2024, at about 11:00 a.m. at Brgy. Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan, joint elements of the Bulacan PIU and 2nd PMFC facilitated the surrender of the individual.

Alias Buboy turned over one (1) Cal. 38 revolver without a serial number, three (3) pieces of cal. 38 live ammunition, and one (1) hand grenade to personnel of the Bulacan 2nd PMFC.

The surrendered CTG member was immediately released after the interview.

Bulacan Police is stern in its intensified campaign against insurgency and terrorism to ensure the provision of social services, employment opportunities, and an improved quality of life in communities that have been experiencing or are vulnerable to armed communist conflict. They joined the rebel group to advocate for government reform, equal rights, and social justice. Their surrender now shows their commitment to realign with the government for these goals.
