CL TOP COP JOINS PNP CHIEF IN THE DILG’s INTERFACING ON PEACE AND ORDER AND PUBLIC SAFETY ISSUE

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – PRO3 Director Jose Hidalgo Jr. joined the PNP Chief PGen Rommel Marbil and led the unit commanders of Central Luzon police force during the coordination meeting facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) headed by SILG Atty Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr held on July 20, 2024, at Royce Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
The meeting, which brought together various agencies and local government units (LGUs), aimed to tackle the challenges LGUs face regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) and business permitting issues. It focused on the vital role LGUs play in regulating and overseeing POGO operations, emphasizing their responsibility to ensure compliance with legal standards, protect public welfare, and combat illicit activities within their jurisdictions.
The meeting also sought to foster collaboration and strengthen regulatory measures to ensure that POGOs operate within the confines of the law, thereby preserving the integrity and security of the communities they impact.
“As we navigate the complexities posed by Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators and business permitting challenges, the cooperation and collaboration of the Central Luzon police force with our LGUs and various agencies is paramount. Together, under the leadership of the DILG and PNP, we are committed to upholding the law, ensuring public safety, and protecting the welfare of our communities.
