FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – An ordinary citizen and his family together with soldiers conducted a gift-giving activity and feeding program for students of Pasong Bangkal Elementary School in Barangay Pasong Bakal, San Rafael, Bulacan last December 15, 2022.
The said activity which also includes the distribution of school supplies was initiated by Mr. Richard Virginiza together with his family in partnership with the soldiers of 70th Infantry Battalion (70IB) of 7th Infantry Division (7ID), Philippine Army.
A total of 110 school supply packages were given to students to address the need for basic school supplies. The activity also aims to establish a strong partnership in the local community.
Lt. Col. Ronnel Dela Cruz, Commanding officer of 70IB said, “Ang kasundaluhan ng 70IB ay hindi magsasawang tumulong at magbigay ng seguridad sa ating mga kabataan. Kami at iba pang organisasyon at indibidwal na may ginintuang puso ay magpapatuloy sa pagbibigay ng ayuda sa ating mga mag-aaral na nangangailangan ng tulong”.
Maj. Gen. Andrew Costelo, Commander, 7ID, assured that soldiers are in constant partnership with various stakeholders to promote peace and development in the community.
