CITY OF MALOLOS- “Let me emphasize what the real treasure of Bulacan is.
This was the message of Lone District of Las Piñas Representative and House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Camille A. Villar during the 446th Bulacan Founding Anniversary held in front of the Capitol building in this city yesterday.
Meanwhile, First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos greeted the Bulakenyos and the officials of Bulacan through a video message wherein she mentioned that the province is so much more than a haven for arts and tourism.
“Bulacan has been a pillar of our nation’s historic democracy,” the first lady said.
On the other hand, Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that it is his great honor to be called a Bulakenyo, a generation forged by heroism, strengthened by many challenges and trials, and exalted by the exceptional excellence of its offsprings.
Nanatili ang ating lalawigan bilang isa sa mga most progressive provinces in our country. Sa mga bagong developments sa ating lalawigan, Bulacan is also fast-becoming a magnet for global investment,” the governor said.
Moreover, along with the celebration, Villar and Fernando, together with the top local officials of the province, launched the Bulacan at 450 logo, signaling the preparation for another historic milestone of the province; and unveiled the national historical marker of the Asociacion Filantropica De Los Damas De La Cruz Roja En Filipinas, the organization of origin of the Philippine National Red Cross.
On August 15, 1578, the Province of Bulacan was founded by the official act of the Spanish Government on the Feast Day of Nuestra Señora De La Asuncion.
