BULACAN’S TOP COP LAUDS TROOP FOR PEACEFUL NLE

CAMP General Alejo S Santos, Cityof Malolos — PCol. Charlie Cabradilla, Acting Provincial Director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said that the success of the 2022 National and Local Elections in the province was attributable to the prompt and appropriate security preparations undertaken by the Bulacan PNP in collaboration with all concerned agencies mandated by law to secure the election process.

PCol. Charlie Cabradilla, Bulacan PNP director

He stated that the joint efforts of every police officer led to the achievement of its primary objective of ensuring the integrity of the 2022 NLE, successfully preventing any potential electoral interference, and preserving peace and order in the province.

A total of one thousand four hundred sixty-eight (1,468) police officers, together with personnel from the Armed Forces, diligently performed election duties in voting sites and conducted checkpoint operations across the province to ensure that the 2022 elections are fair, honest, and credible.

Since the commencement of the election period, COMELEC checkpoints have been rigorously enforced, resulting in the arrest of suspects in violation of election laws (gun ban) and RA 9165 (Illegal Drugs) who were intercepted during checkpoint operations.

As per the Bulacan Provincial Election Monitoring Center (PEMAC) election 2022 data, the cities of Malolos and Meycauayan, the municipalities of Angat, Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulacan, Bustos, Calumpit, Hagonoy, Norzagaray, Obando, Pandi, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Miguel, San Rafael, and Santa Maria were listed as election areas of concern, whereas the towns of Baliuag, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Marilao, and San Ildefonso were listed as of immediate concern; and the city of San Jose del Monte (CSJDM) as of grave concern.

It is noteworthy, however, that the Bulacan PPO registered zero election-related occurrences since no atrocities happened in Bulacan before, during, or after the election. This is because of how well its strategy for safeguarding elections was implemented.

Cabradilla emphasized that, despite the fact that the election process is still ongoing, we are not easing our vigilance. We will continue COMELEC checkpoints across the province, securing vital installations and economic hubs, without compromising our regular law enforcement responsibilities, anti-crime campaigns, and other police operations.

Again, I commend the gallant men and women of Bulacan PPO for a job well done! Your selfless commitment to duty is indeed remarkable. To all our election partner agencies and supportive stakeholders, we take pride in working with you. And to the Bulakeños it is our honor to have served you well. The sacrifices of our troops gave you an election that is secure, peaceful, and successful, says Bulacan top cop.
