CITY OF MALOLOS – After weeks of waiting, the Gintong Kabataan Awards is finally here!
The Araw ng Parangal of Bulacan’s annual award-giving program for the youth, the Gintong Kabataan Awards (GKA), is set to happen on November 15, at 1:00 pm at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center here for its 2024 edition.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando invites Bulakenyos to witness and be a part of this joyous and prestigious moment of the youth, celebrating their milestones and victories with the community.
“Saksihan natin ang natatanging araw na ito bilang pagkilala sa mga tagumpay na natatamo ng ating mga Kabataang Bulakenyo. Sapagkat ang tagumpay nila ay repleksiyon din ng husay at dangal ng bawat isang mamamayan ng ating mahal na lalawigan,” Fernando said.
Organized by the Provincial Youth and Sports Development Office, the GKA 2024 is classified into different categories namely Gintong Kabataan sa Sining at Kultura, Kagalingang Pang-Akademya at Agham, Entreprenyur, Paglilingkod sa Pamayanan, Manggagawa, SK Federation President, SK Barangay Council, GKA Special Citation, and Natatanging Gintong Kabataang Bulakenyo. This year, Natatanging Gintong Kabataan (Posthumous Award) will be given.
Some of the notable recipients were two-time Gintong Kabataan awardee Atty. Ronalyn B. Pordan from the City of San Jose Del Monte for Paglilingkod sa Pamayanan in 2017 and Natatanging SK Federation President in 2023 and Bianca Patricia T. Reyes, Registered Psychometrician (RPm) from Hagonoy who received a Special Citation last year for her remarkable Top 1 finish during the August 2023 Psychometricians Licensure Examination, achieving an 89.60% rating.
“Sa taong ito, ipagpapatuloy natin ang ating adbokasiya para sa ating mga kabataan, pagyayabungin natin nang higit ang kanilang mga talento at husay dahil naniniwala tayo na may puwang ang mga Kabataang Bulakenyo sa pagpapaunlad ng ating kinabukasan,” Fernando added.
