CITY OF MALOLOS – The Province of Bulacan has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to good governance practices and has received the SubayBAYANI Award Exemplar for 2025.
This prestigious award was conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) during a ceremony at the Manila Hotel in Manila.
The SubayBAYANI Awards recognize local government units that not only deliver tangible results and positive impacts on Filipino communities but also demonstrate excellence in local project monitoring and participatory governance.
Bulacan was named among the exemplary provinces, joining Region 3 counterparts Aurora and Bataan in this year’s recognition.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando expressed profound gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that the award is a direct result of the collaborative dedication of Bulacan’s frontliners, civil servants, local organizations, and the community.
He underscored the collective belief that continuous development is achievable through unified effort.
“Sa ating mga kababayang Bulakenyo, para sa inyo ang parangal na ito. Kayo ang inspirasyon ng bawat desisyon at bawat proyektong isinusulong namin,” Fernando said. (To our fellow Bulacan people, this award is for you. You are the inspiration behind every decision and every project we advance.)
The significance of the award was further highlighted by the keynote address delivered by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. wherein the President stressed the vital importance of transparency in public service, reminding officials that the Filipino people are observant and entitled to hold their leaders accountable.
“Inaasahan natin na kapag bukas tayo sa publiko, mas titibay ang kanilang tiwala sa gobyerno, mas lalawak pa ang kanilang pakikipagbahagi sa ating pagbabago,” the President said. (We hope that when we are open to the public, their trust in the government will be stronger, and their participation in our change will be broader.)
