Bulacan receives recognition from ECCD Council

CITY OF MALOLOS- Another honor, manifesting the commitment of the Provincial Government of Bulacan under the leadership of Governor Daniel R. Fernando to championing the development of young children, has been bestowed to the province.

The Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council awarded the Province of Bulacan with a plaque of recognition for its outstanding performance and invaluable contribution to the promotion of quality early childhood care and development programs and services during the ECCD Council 2024 Partners’ Recognition Program held at the Manila Hotel, City of Manila yesterday.

In behalf of the governor, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Rowena J. Tiongson, Provincial ECCD Focal Person Diana V. De Ocampo, and Evaluator from PSWDO Simeona Manio, accepted the award from ECCD Council Vice Chairperson and Executive Director Teresita G. Inciong and Deputy Executive Director Rommel J. Isip.

According to Inciong, the recognition is more than a celebration but a call to action to encourage excellence and reinforce collaboration to achieve more for the Filipino children.

“We hope to inspire all stakeholders to continue striving for improvements. Together, let us strengthen our resolve to provide every Filipino child with access to quality and early learning opportunity, laying strong foundation for the future of the nation’s progress. Your achievement exemplified the power of collaboration and shared purpose, showing that we can accomplish when we work hand in hand,” she said.

Meanwhile, representing Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara, DepEd Assistant Secretary for Operation Dexter A. Galban said that local government units’ dedication in fostering ECCD programs demonstrates that building the future of the children is not a solitary effort but a collective one.

“Our LGUs are uniquely positioned to ensure that our children particularly every child under the age of 3 receives the care and support they need before entering basic education. You lay the groundwork. You lay the foundation for lifelong success,” Asec. Galban said.

Other LGUs from Bulacan including the City of Baliwag, Municipalities of Doña Remedios Trinidad, Guiguinto, Obando, Pandi, Plaridel, Pulilan, and San Ildefonso were also conferred with the same recognition.
