CAMP Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — Twenty-one individuals were arrested in police operations conducted by the Bulacan police on May 16, 2023 and early this morning.
PCOL RELLY B ARNEDO, Provincial Director Bulacan PPO, reported that nine (9) individuals were arrested over illegal gambling. Angat police conducted an operation and arrested Ruel Tolentino for violation of P.D. 1602 as amended by RA9287 ( STL Bookies), while Malolos and Plaridel police received tips from concerned citizens about groups of individuals involved in illegal gambling activities and arrested eight (8 for PD 1602 Anti-illegal Gambling (Billiard, Poker and Tong-its).
Similarly, six (6) individuals with issued warrants of arrest were collared by the Norzagaray, Balagtas, Plaridel, Malolos and Santa Maria police for different law violations. While San Jose del Monte, Obando, Marilao and Santa Maria drug enforcement units busted four (4) drug peddlers including Avelino San Felipe (PNP/PDEA Unified Drugs Watchlist) and confiscated a total of nineteen (19) sachets of suspected shabu. Citizens are reminded that Bulacan PNP will further intensify its standing policy and campaign against illegal gambling and drugs and they are encouraged to report any information of illegal activities for a more effective conduct of police operations against law offenders.
