LUNGSOD NG MALOLOS – Nakakolekta ng P143,000 multa ang Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) mula sa mga may-ari ng establisyimento na hindi nakasunod sa Provincial Ordinance No. C-005, an Ordinance Enacting the 2011 Revised Environmental Code of the Province of Bulacan.
Anang pinuno ng BENRO na si Abgd. Julius Victor C. Degala, nakakolekta sila sa loob lamang ng kulang dalawang buwan ng P103,000 noong Pebrero at P40,000 mula Marso 1 hanggang 15.
Ito aniya ay bilang tugon sa direktiba ni Gob. Daniel R. Fernando na mahigpit na ipatupad ang nasabing ordinansa.
Nakasaad sa Section 58. Grounds for Suspension or Revocation of Permits, “That after due notice and hearing, the Governor may suspend or revoke any existing and valid permit on any of the following grounds: (a) Non-compliance with, or violation of any provision of this Ordinance, and/or permit conditions; (b) False or inaccurate information in the application for permit that led to the issuance of the permit;(c) Unjustifiable refusal to comply with the lawful inspection clause of this ordinance; (d) Unreasonable refusal to allow inspection and monitoring by BENRO personnel;(e) Failure to submit required documents for inspection, and (f) Other valid and lawful causes.”
Dagdag pa dito, sa Section 59. Sanction, “Any person or entity who violates any provision under this Article shall be punished with a fine of not to exceed five thousand pesos (P5,000.00) without prejudice to the filing of appropriate charges in court under this Ordinance and existing laws, rules and regulations.”
Dahil sa tuluy-tuloy na pagsubaybay ng Waste Management and Pollution Control and Enforcement Division ng BENRO, mas maraming mga may-ari ng negosyo ang tumalima sa pagbabayad ng kanilang hindi pa nababayarang multa bunga ng kanilang hindi pagtalima.
“Ang gobernador ang aming inspirasyon upang patuloy naming pagbutihin ang pagtupad sa tungkulin at makakolekta ng tama,” ani Degala.
Matatandaang kinilala si Fernando na naging kauna-unahang panlalawigang pinunong ehekutibo na tumanggap ng parangal mula sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources Regional Office 3 (DENR RO3) kamakailan para sa kanyang hindi matatawarang kontribusyon at suporta sa mga programa ng DENR RO3 tungo sa proteksyon, konserbasyon at kaunlaran ng kapaligiran at kalikasan o natural na yaman ng bansa.
