CITY OF MALOLOS Our province is repeatedly called notable. Bulacan is the cradle of the brave, of heroes from ancient times and the great heroes of the present. We cannot count the reasons why our province is noble; only history can tell this.
This was the heartful message of Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro during the 445th Bulacan Foundation Day that was held at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city today.
On behalf of Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, Castro led the commemoration of the provinces founding anniversary with the flag raising and wreath laying ceremony before the statue of Marcelo H. Del Pilar.
The program then continued at The Pavilion in Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center where a mass and a brief program were held and attended by officials, heads and employees of the Provincial Government of Bulacan.
Castro also underscored the fact that while the current generation of Bulakenyos were not present during those historical eras, what were gathered and penned in history books and the current anecdotes of Bulakenyos are enough to celebrate the provinces glory.
Meanwhile, the new set of officials of the Bulacan Culture and the Arts Council took their oath of office before Castro including Vice Chairman Romeo Dela Rosa, Co-Vice Chairman Demetrio Bajet and Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Officer Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz as Secretariat along with its Honorary Member Board Member Richard A. Roque who was represented by Girl Official Jemimah Magsipoc.
The PGB also relaunched the refurbished Kasaysayan ng Bulacan Mural at the Isidoro Torres Hall in the Capitol building featuring the past and present governors of Bulacan followed by SINEliksik Bulacan Film Showing at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Cultural Center.
