CITY OF MALOLOS – One of the highlights of the Arts Month celebration in the province of Bulacan this February is “My Journey with Art, Love and Inspiration *Jovie @ 50 6th Solo Exhibit” to be held on February 19, 2022, 1:30 pm at Hiyas ng Bulacan Museum Hiyas ng Bulacan Cultural Center: Sentro ng Kasaysayan Sining, Kultura at Turismo, Antonio S. Bautista, Bulacan Provincial Capitol Compound here.
Jovie F. Punzalan, a professor in Bulacan State University, a painter, and a former nun, will present 50 artworks in the said exhibit wherein a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artworks will go to the Bukal ng Buhay Orphanage located at the town of Bustos.
Meanwhile, with the theme “Sining ng Pas-asa”, the lined up activities of the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) in cooperation with Bulacan Culture and Arts Council include LGBT Art Collections Exhibit on February 10 at 4:00 pm at the Guillermo Tolentino Exhibit Hall; Sa mga Kababayang Dalaga ng Malolos Birtwal na Eksibisyon on February 22; Sining sa Hardin: Bulacan Art in the Park at Konsierto ng mga Artistang Bulakenyo on February 26 and 27 at 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at Capitol Mini Forest, Antonio S. Bautista, Bulacan Provincial Capitol Compound; Parangal BCAC -Pagkilala sa mga Bulakenyong Alagad ng Sining at Kultura sa Panahon ng Pandemya on February 28 and Parangal sa Kislap Sining sa Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo on March 4 at 3:00 pm via livestream at Bulacan Arts and Culture Facebook Page.
Also, the virtual opening of the launching of Arts Month in Bulacan was held coinciding the Monday Flag Ceremony last February 7, 2022, at Guillermo Tolentino Exhibit Hall, Hiyas ng Bulacan Cultural Center here and followed by the opening of Hardin Art Exhibit” of “Alyansa” visual arts of Guiguinto town.
Fernando thanked and lauded the support of different group of Bulakenyo artists who participated and showcased their talents in different fields that add colors, joy and brilliance in the celebration of Arts Month in Bulacan.
