CITY OF MALOLOS —The Province of Bulacan has secured a coveted Special Citation at the 2025 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Awards—Province Level, presented during the 51st Philippine Business Conference and Expo (PBC&E) last October 20 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the recognition is a strong affirmation of the Provincial Government’s strategic commitment to fostering economic growth, streamlining business processes, and dramatically boosting investor confidence across the region.
Bulacan, through the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO), was specifically honored for its dedication to development, particularly through major infrastructure initiatives including strategic national projects like the New Manila International Airport (NMIA) and key road networks designed to enhance connectivity inside and outside Central Luzon, creating immediate positive impacts for the local business community.
PCEDO Department Head Atty. Jayric L. Amil personally received the citation on behalf of Governor Daniel R. Fernando.
During her speech, PCCI President Consul Enunina V. Mangio shared that the event’s goal is not only to adapt modernization, but to utilize digitalization in sustainable development to improve Filipinos’ lives.
“Our purpose is not technological modernization for its own sake, but the strategic deployment of digital capabilities in service of sustainable development, inclusive growth, and enhanced quality of life for all Filipinos,” Mangio said.
Also, Dennis Anthony H. Uy, chairman of the 51st PBC&E, urged industry leaders in the country to take charge in leading a responsible entrepreneurship to help businesses adapt to the competitiveness of their field.
Expressing deep gratitude for the prestigious acknowledgment, Fernando underscored the award as momentum to further accelerate business support and entrepreneurial initiatives.
“Maraming salamat po sa PCCI para sa pagkilalang ito. At taos-pusong pagbati rin sa aming PCEDO para sa walang sawang pagsuporta sa ating mga kababayan. Kaya naman po patuloy nating ibibigay sa inyong mga Bulakenyo ang mga inisyatibang mas magpapaunlad pa sa inyong mga kabuhayan sa ating probinsiya,” the governor said during a recent event.
The citation validates Bulacan’s proactive steps to meet modern economic demands, positioning its business environment as a benchmark for regional development.
