Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) stands ready to guarantee a seamless and secure election process and has deployed an impressive force of over 10,000 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel across the region to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of security coverage.
On Monday, a send-off ceremony, along with the handover of resources and forces, took place at the PRO3 Parade Ground attended by members of the PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as well as dedicated force multipliers.
Part of the activity was the blessing of Troops and resources officiated by Rev Fr PLtCol Jonathan Sy, Regional Pastoral Officer and the reading of Statement of Commitment of concerned agencies followed by the message of Atty Temie P Lambino, Regional Election Director, COMELEC 3.
To optimize deployment and bolster the security presence at polling precincts with just a week left until the much-anticipated electoral event on October 30, police personnel typically assigned to desk duties and educational pursuits have been reassigned to polling stations
This strategic move will significantly increase the number of individuals responsible for safeguarding the integrity and safety of the Election Day proceedings.
