NEW CLARK CITY, Tarlac  — ‎The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), in partnership with Saudi Arabian firm ACWA Power, is set to develop a renewable energy facility in New Clark City aimed at delivering clean, reliable, and low-cost power.

‎This initiative is part of the state firm’s broader push to create climate-resilient, future-ready developments that will also attract foreign investment.

‎To formalize the partnership, BCDA and ACWA Power signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the side event of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing renewable energy and foreign investment in the country.

BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Bingcang described the partnership as a key step in providing low-cost power solutions that combine innovation with long-term value.

Under the MOU, the facility will deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy through advanced solar photovoltaic technology, with the potential integration of battery energy storage.

This underscores the BCDA and ACWA Power’s support for the nation’s renewable energy goals and their ongoing efforts to attract further foreign investment.
