CITY OF MALOLOS- The grounds of the Provincial Capitol will once again be flooded with lively, colorful, and jovial vibes as the Singkaban Festival comes back to its normal face-to-face celebration tomorrow, September 8, 2022, 8:00 am in front of the Capitol building in this city after two years of being held online.
Department of Tourism Secretary Maria Esperanza Christina Garcia Frasco is expected to lead thousands of Bulakenyos headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando in the opening of the grand celebration of the province’s rich culture and history.
Fernando invited all Bulakenyos as well as local and international tourists to come and witness the weeklong celebration of the “Mother of All Fiestas” in Bulacan, Singkaban Festival 2022 with the theme, “Patuloy na Pagsikhay Tungo sa Tagumpay”.
“Isang linggong pagdiriwang na sesentro sa mayamang sining at kultura ng 21 bayan at tatlong lungsod ng lalawigan ang ating ipapamalas sa ating Singkaban Festival ngayong taon. Ngunit bukod dito, atin ring ipagbubunyi ang matatag na kaugalian ng ating lahi na maging sa pandemya ay hindi nagpagapi,” the governor said.
After the grand opening, Frasco, Fernando, and other local officials and guests will watch the entrance of the competing floats for the “Parada ng Karosa” that will depict their products, services, or locality’s tradition, arts, and tourist destinations.
Other than that, costumes portraying Bulakenyo heroes, patriots, national artists, and personalities will be on display at the Robinsons Place Malolos from September 8 to 15, 2022 in the activity dubbed as “Bulacan Festival Costume Expo”.
Also, Andrew Alto De Guzman’s 4th One-Man Art Exhibition titled “HomAge: 30 Years of Art” will open on the same day until September 30, 2022 at the Guillermo E. Tolentino Hall, Hiyas Museum in this city.
The Hiyas ng Bulacan Brass Band will also serenade visitors and spectators with their music and performance in the “Konsierto ng Hiyas ng Bulacan” at 3:00 pm at the Bulacan Capitol Mini Forest.
Lastly, participants of the “Singkaban ng Bayan: Arc Making Competition” will display their entries in front of their municipal or city government hall or building from September 8-15, 2022.
