Camp Gen Alejo S Santos, City of Malolos, Bulacan — On June 16, 2023, at around 5:45 p.m., armed drug suspects were arrested by the elements of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), while seven drug traffickers and six (6) wanted felons were apprehended as part of the Bulacan PNP’s enhanced police operations.
In a report to Col Relly Arnedo, Provincial Director, Bulacan PPO, it was stated that the drug-suspects, identified as one (1) Gerald San Jose (43), two (2) Ana Marie Lagunoy (38), and three (3) Edilberto Delos Santos (56) were arrested by the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU). Personnel of the unit conducting an anti-illegal drugs operation said the suspects were caught selling illegal drugs, resulting in their arrest.
Furthermore, one (1) caliber .38 without a serial number, three (3) pieces caliber .38 live ammunition, twenty-one (21) pieces of .9mm live ammunition, one (1) color camouflage sling bag, one (1) caliber .9mm color camouflage hand gun, one (1) piece of magazine caliber .9mm, and three (3) pieces of heat sealed shabu with an estimated weight of 5 grams, and a dangerous drug board value (DDB) of Php 34,000.00 were recovered in the suspect’s possession during the search.
Moreover, an estimated total of Php 41,900 worth of suspected shabu was seized by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives of Bulakan, San Ildefonso, and Bocaue Police Stations from the seven (7) arrested drug peddlers.
Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspect are now being readied for filing in court.
