
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Region III has undergone a leadership transition as Engineer Henry Alcantara, former District Engineer of the Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO), assumed his new role as Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Office of the Assistant Regional Director at DPWH Region IV-A.
Alcantara’s reassignment was formalized during a turnover ceremony held on June 16, 2025, at the DPWH Regional Office IV-A in Barangay Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna, through Special Order No. 75, Series of 2025, reflecting the department’s commitment to strengthening regional operations through strategic personnel movements.
With extensive experience and institutional knowledge in public infrastructure planning and implementation, Alcantara is expected to bring strong technical expertise and leadership to his new post, supporting the accelerated delivery of programs and projects across Region IV-A.
Meanwhile, Engineer Brice Ericson Hernandez, formerly Assistant District Engineer of Bulacan 1st DEO, has been designated as OIC-District Engineer under Special Order No. 71, bringing a solid track record in project management and deep familiarity with the district’s priorities.
To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Engineer Jaypee Mendoza, former Construction Section Chief of the same office, was appointed OIC-Assistant District Engineer under Special Order No. 72, and is expected to help maintain continuity in the district’s ongoing infrastructure initiatives.
The turnover ceremony was witnessed by key officials and personnel from DPWH Region III, who expressed their full support and appreciation for Alcantara’s leadership and significant accomplishments during his tenure at Bulacan 1st DEO.#
