ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will lead on March 5, 2025 the blessing and inauguration of the Phase 3 of the public cemetery here in Barangay Capaya as the city government’s commitment to enhancing public services and ensuring better facilities for its residents.

Located in Capaya, the Phase 3 expansion will provide 1,152 full body adult niche slots, 960 bone niches, and 288 baby niches.

Under the administration of Mayor Lazatin, the public cemetery has a total capacity of 12,518, following the expansions under Phases 1, 2, and 3.

This includes 7,192 full-body niches (6,380 for adults and 812 for children), 3,726 bone niches, and 1,600 columbarium slots. Each columbarium slot can hold 2 to 3 urns, depending on their size.

According to Mayor Lazatin, with the expansion of the public cemetery the city government can now serve its residents with available niches and columbarium until 2030.

“The phase 3 expansion of the public cemetery is a investment in the future, sinisigurado po natin na tuluy-tuloy ang pagbibigay natin ng serbisyo publiko,” Lazatin added.

“The expansion of the Angeles City Public Cemetery is a crucial investment in the future, ensuring that we continue to provide essential services for our community,” Mayor Lazatin said.
