Angeles City to have 9 more primary health care units

ANGELES CITY — Angeles City will have nine more primary health care units to be completed by November 2024.

This was revealed by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. on June 24, 2024 during his 5th State of the City Address at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Legislative Building.

The said soon-to-rise primary health care units will be located at Barangays Pulungbulu, Pulung Maragul, Cutud, Anunas, Capaya, Amsic, Tabun, Malabanias, and Balibago.

“With a population of 450,000, Angeles City must have 15 primary health care units,” Lazatin said.

When Lazatin assumed office in 2019, the city government only had six Rural Health Units.

These RHUs are also now undergoing major facelifts and construction works in accordance with the guidance of the Department of Health.

Lazatin said with the ongoing construction of nine more health care units, which started last 2023, the city will have the ideal number of available health care units based on the city’s population.

“Last year, we initiated the construction of nine more primary health care units,” Lazatin shared.

Like his father, Former First District Rep. and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, he firmly believes that “those who have less in life must have more from the government.”
