ANGELEÑO residents, especially senior citizens on Monday received their initial check-up for the free cataract operation from the joint project of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. and First District Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II.
The patients were picked up from their homes by the city government and were transported to the partner medical institutions for the initial check-up.
Prior to this, forms for free cataract operation were provided in the 6 Rural Health Units and 28 sub-health centers which were collected by the staff of Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles.
Among the cornerstones of the Lazatin brothers’ administration is providing more accessible public health programs to Angeleños such as giving free check-up and medicines, door-to-door delivery of free medicines to senior citizens, Persons with Disability, and bedridden, free wheelchairs, anti-rabies vaccine in the Animal Bite Treatment Center, as well as financial medical assistance.
