BULACAN- Three individuals believed to be responsible for the killing of a 29-year-old product specialist—whose body was found inside a burning car in Guiguinto town on August 4, 2026—were arrested by the Guiguinto Police within 24 hours in the town of Bulakan and in the City of Malolos.
According to the police, three other suspects are still at large and subject of follow up and massive manhunt operation.
Based on the report submitted by PLtCol. Francis Magadia, Acting Chief of Police of the Guiguinto Municipal Police Station to Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) Acting Provincial Director PCol Jay Baybayan, the incident occurred at about 11:15 PM on August 4, 2026, in Purok 2, Barangay Daungan, Guiguinto, Bulacan.
Responding police officers discovered the body of an unidentified person inside the trunk of a burning Mitsubishi Mirage after firefighters had extinguished the blaze.
Through intensive investigation, CCTV backtracking, and coordinated police operations, investigators traced the vehicle’s point of origin from a vacant lot in Barangay San Francisco, Bulakan, Bulacan, where the alleged crime was committed.
Crime scene processing conducted by the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit led to the recovery of physical evidence.
As a result of the joint hot pursuit operations, the first suspect was arrested at about 8:30 AM on the following day, August 5, 2026, in Barangay San Francisco, Bulakan, Bulacan, where the alleged murder weapon was recovered.
Later that day, at about 9:54 AM, a second suspect was arrested at the San Vicente Fish Market in Barangay San Vicente, Malolos City.
Recovered during the operation were a caliber .45 pistol with ammunition, additional rounds of ammunition, and the suspected getaway vehicle, a silver Suzuki APV.
A third suspect was likewise arrested for Obstruction of Justice.
The victim, a 29-year old product specialist was subsequently identified through the course of the investigation.
An autopsy conducted by forensic authorities determined the cause of death, confirming that the victim had been killed before the vehicle was set on fire.
One of the arrested suspects also executed a written extrajudicial confession in the presence of competent and independent counsel, while investigators have identified three additional suspects who remain at large and are now the subject of continuing manhunt operations.
Recovered during the investigation were one bolo (itak), nine cotton swabs with suspected bloodstains, one polo shirt with suspected bloodstains, assorted drug paraphernalia, one caliber .45 ARMSCOR pistol, assorted ammunition from 45 caliber and .9mm, and one silver Suzuki APV (MV) believed to have been used during the commission of the crime.
All recovered pieces of evidence have been subjected to forensic examination to further strengthen the case against the suspects.
The Bulacan PPO is now preparing criminal complaints for Murder, Destructive Arson, Violation of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and Obstruction of Justice, as warranted by the evidence gathered during the investigation.
Joint investigation and evidence consolidation among the Guiguinto MPS, Bulakan MPS, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit, Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit, and Regional Intelligence Unit 3 remain ongoing to ensure the successful prosecution of all persons involved.
Col. Baybayan said the Bulacan Police Provincial Office remains steadfast in its commitment to conducting a thorough, impartial, and evidence-based investigation.
