Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — With the start of the Holy Week travel rush, PRO3 Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez personally inspected major bus terminals across Central Luzon on Wednesday, April 1, to check the readiness of police personnel and security measures on the ground.
PBGEN Mendez conducted on-site assessments of security measures, police deployment, and public assistance mechanisms, ensuring that safety protocols are effectively implemented in areas with high commuter volume.

He likewise boarded a bus to directly engage with drivers and passengers, reinforcing safe travel practices and strengthening police-community interaction.
The Regional Director emphasized that intensified inspections are being complemented by sustained police visibility and security coverage in transport terminals, malls, churches, and other areas of convergence.
He also highlighted the activation of Police Assistance Desks (PADs) and Motorist Assistance Desks (MADs) along major highways and thoroughfares to provide immediate assistance to travelers.
To further ensure operational readiness, red teaming activities are also being conducted across the region by area inspectors composed of PRO3 Regional Staff, under the supervision of members of the Command Group, to assess deployment, identify gaps, and immediately address any lapses on the ground.
“We want our commuters to feel safe and secure. That’s why our personal inspections are important to ensure that our deployment is smooth and our personnel are ready. We are also grateful for the support of our partner agencies and force multipliers in ensuring the safety of the public not only this Holy Week but throughout the summer vacation,” Mendez said.
He underscored that these proactive measures are aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly in enhancing police visibility, ensuring operational readiness, and strengthening community engagement during peak travel periods.
With the deployment of thousands of personnel across the region, PRO3 remains committed to delivering “Pulis Central Luzon — serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman,” ensuring a safe, orderly, and meaningful observance of Holy Week for all.
