Camp Capt. Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — In line with its continuing commitment to public health and community safety, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), through the Regional Medical and Dental Unit 3 (RMDU3), successfully conducted an Anti-Rabies Vaccination Activity for dogs and cats of PRO3 personnel on March 19, 2026.
The activity was spearheaded by PCOL Jonathan S. Adanglao, Chief of RMDU3, with the support of PLTCOL Maribelle M. Quintos, PMAJ Rio Diane U. Clement, PLT Minet M. Bangit, PCMS Oliver B. Pascual, and PMSg Mavelle R. Valdez.
A total of 16 pet owners benefited from the initiative, with 14 dogs and 43 cats vaccinated, bringing the overall total to 57 pets immunized against rabies.
According to PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jess B. Mendez, the activity reflects the organization’s proactive approach in safeguarding both the police force and the community from preventable diseases.
“Ang rabies ay isang seryosong banta sa kalusugan ng tao at hayop, ngunit ito ay 100% preventable. Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong hakbang, pinapalakas natin ang proteksyon hindi lamang ng ating mga kapulisan kundi pati ng kanilang mga pamilya. This initiative is part of our commitment to promote public health, responsible pet ownership, and safer communities,” PBGEN Mendez emphasized.
He further underscored that the program supports the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly in strengthening community engagement and ensuring the welfare of personnel.
The Anti-Rabies Vaccination Activity also aligns with the national campaign on rabies prevention and eradication, highlighting the importance of regular vaccination, awareness, and collective responsibility in maintaining a rabies-free environment.
PRO3 continues to encourage all personnel and the public to actively participate in similar health initiatives, reinforcing its thrust of delivering “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
