REP. LAZATIN LAUDS YOUNG ANGELEÑO SWIMMER

FIRST DISTRICT, Pampanga – Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. filed House Resolution No. 734 on February 4, 2026 congratulating Adam Delos Reyes of Barangay Pandan, Angeles City for bagging the silver and bronze medals in the 6th Asian Open Schools Invitational (AOSI) Aquatics Championship that was held from January 29 to February 1, 2026 in Thailand.

Seven-year-old Delos Reyes, who is currently a 2nd Grade Student at Living Stone International School, competed in the 50-meter backstroke and 4×50 medley relay, where he won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

“At such a young age, Adam has brought pride to our country through his achievements,” Lazatin said.

Prior to the AOSI Aquatics Championship in Thailand, Delos Reyes has participated in various local competitions, where he has bagged several gold medals, including the MILO Championship Cup IV, Royal Sprint Swim Battle, IGNITE Swim Battle Gladiator 2, ILUSTRE Cup 2025, The Championship Cup – Easter Special, and the Heartfelt Swim Celebration of Life.

Delos Reyes has also been awarded the Most Outstanding Swimmer Award five times in various swimming competitions.

Delos Reyes is a member of the Dax Swim Club Philippines based in Angeles City, and was trained by Coach Jensen Halili.

The AOSI Aquatics Championship is an international swimming competition for school-aged athletes and club teams across Asia. It is organized by Global Aquatics and is sanctioned by the Thailand Aquatics Association.

The 6th AOSI Aquatics Championship was held at the Assumption University Suvarnabhumi Campus in Thailand, with participants from 20 countries, including Australia, Bhutan, Guam, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
