Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3)) successfully arrested two fugitives, each facing 26 counts of rape, following sustained intelligence-driven and coordinated police operations in Central Luzon.

One of the accused, a 36 years old man, married, and resident of Barangay Malabanias, Angeles City, was arrested at around 10:30 AM on January 27, 2026, at Timog Square, Barangay Cuayan, Angeles City.

He was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for 26 counts of rape issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 58, Angeles City, with no bail recommended, for crimes committed in April 2008.

The arrest was carried out by Police Station 5 of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) as the lead unit, in close coordination with the ACPO Tracker Team, Criminal Investigation Task Force (CIT) Angeles, and Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU-3).

Proper arrest procedures were observed, including the use of an Alternative Recording Device (ARD), the reading of the suspect’s rights under RA 7438, and the conduct of standard booking procedures prior to the return of the warrant to the court of origin.

In a separate operation on January 23, Police Station 5 likewise arrested another fugitive also wanted for 26 counts of rape, underscoring the region’s intensified campaign against persons accused of heinous crimes.

Both arrests were the result of continuous intelligence coordination, tracking, and sustained pursuit by operating units.

PRO3 Regional Director Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. lauded the personnel involved, stressing that the arrests reflect PRO3’s unwavering adherence to its guiding principles of Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.

“These arrests reaffirm our commitment to the 3Ps—protecting victims, pursuing justice without letup, and ensuring professionalism in all police actions. PRO3 will continue to relentlessly pursue fugitives and uphold the rule of law,” Peñones said.

The successful operations further highlight the effectiveness of the Acting Chief PNP, PLTGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr’s PNP Focused Agenda and reinforce the PNP’s commitment under Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman, ensuring safer communities across Central Luzon.
