SILPC hosts fun run to promote healthy living, strengthen parish unity

More than 300 parishioners of San Isidro Labrador Church in Barangay Bambang, Bulakan joined the recently held Bubble Fun Run last January 11, 2026, an initiative of the parish aimed at promoting healthy living while strengthening community ties.

Held after the holiday season, the activity encouraged parishioners of all ages to adopt a more active lifestyle and reconnect with fellow community members through a shared, faith-centered event.

“This fun run is not just about physical fitness, but also about reminding our parishioners that we are one community, united by faith and concern for one another,” said Fr. Len Hernandez, parish priest of San Isidro Labrador Church. “Through simple activities like this, we hope to nurture both the body and the spirit,” he added.

The event featured three race categories such as 5 kilometers, 3.5 kilometers, and 2.5 kilometers. This allows participants to choose distances suited to their ability. The top four finishers were:

1st Reymond Matito

2nd Mario Alcantara

3rd Carlo San Martin

4th Andie Javier

All of them brought home medals and gift bags.

Milbert Rodriguez, one of the runners shared that events like the Bubble Fun Run help foster a stronger sense of belonging within the community. “Beyond getting our steps in, the Bubble Fun Run proves fitness doesn’t have to be boring, it can bring our whole community together! No matter how busy life gets, events like this remind us that we’re not just neighbors, we’re family built on faith,” he said.

Parish officials said the success of the event has encouraged them to organize more activities that promote wellness, fellowship, and active parish participation in the coming months.
