Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has stepped up security operations across Central Luzon in line with the guidance of Acting Chief PNP, PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., aimed at ensuring public safety throughout the Yuletide season.
In compliance with the directive, PRO3 has intensified police visibility in transport hubs, major thoroughfares, and other areas of convergence to facilitate swift traffic management, prompt response to vehicular accidents, and immediate action against crime incidents.
Entry and exit points across the region were likewise secured to deny access to criminal elements.
PRO3 also strengthened coordination with local government units (LGUs) in the strict enforcement of the ban on illegal firecrackers, allowing sales only in authorized areas.
Law enforcement units were directed to maintain zero tolerance for the illegal discharge of firearms and indiscriminate firing, with violators to be arrested without exception.
Security coverage was further reinforced in churches, holiday masses, and other places of convergence to ensure the safety of the public during religious and community gatherings.
PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, emphasized the Region’s commitment to protecting the public during the holiday period.
“We are amplifying police visibility, enforcing the law without compromise, and working closely with our LGU partners to ensure that our communities can celebrate the holidays safely and peacefully,” Peñones said.
The intensified operations underscore PRO3’s continuing commitment to deliver Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman, as Central Luzon celebrates the holiday season.
