In partnership with Payatas B Elementary School, environmental justice group BAN Toxics is set to hold its annual school-based Toxics-Free and Waste-Free Iwas Paputok Campaign on December 12.
Anchored on the theme “Iwas Paputok, Iwas Disgrasya, Iwas Polusyon,” the campaign calls on students, teachers, parents, and the broader community to celebrate Christmas and New Year in a safer, cleaner, and more responsible manner, with the initiative aiming to curb fireworks-related injuries (FWRI).
The Toxics-Free and Waste-Free Iwas Paputok Campaign will be held around 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM where the community parade will starts 8:30am at Barangay Covered Court, Payatas B, Quezon City.
Some 2,000 individuals are expected toparticipate composed of students, parents, teachers and community, including representatives from the DOH, BFP, PNP, and Barangay Payatas B Local Officials
