
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A total of P55.3 million in total sales was generated during the 27th Likha ng Central Luzon trade fair of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
About 148 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participated in the trade fair held at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City on October 15 to 19.
DTI OIC Regional Director Edna Dizon disclosed that this amount exceeds the P36.5 million target by nearly 52 percent.
“The outstanding results of this year’s trade fair is commendable as it reflects the growing strength, creativity, and competitiveness of Central Luzon’s entrepreneurs,” she said.
Of the total sales, P29.7 million came from booked orders; P17.8 million came from cash transactions ; and P7.7 million from sales still under negotiation.
Records also showed that Bataan generated the highest sales among the seven provinces with about P17.4 million. It was followed by Pampanga with 12 million; Bulacan—P10.9 million; Tarlac—6.1 million; Nueva Ecija—P4.6 million; Zambales—P2.5 million; and Aurora—P1.5 million.
With this, Dizon thanked all participating MSMEs, partner agencies, and the buying public for their continued support in promoting local products and empowering Central Luzon’s entrepreneurs.
“Their collective efforts and collaboration made the 27th Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair a resounding success and a true celebration of Filipino creativity and enterprise,” she noted.
Organized by the DTI Central Luzon and its provincial offices, in partnership with Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. 3, Regional Development Council 3, SM Supermalls, and the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc., the annual Likha trade fair serves as the culminating event of DTI’s programs for MSME development.
The fair continues to be a vital platform for local entrepreneurs to expand their markets, build partnerships, and promote proudly Central Luzon-made products to institutional buyers and consumers nationwide.
Aside from marketing support through trade fairs, Edna added that DTI continues to support MSMEs through capability building seminars to help develop their technical capabilities to become exporters; as well as product development activities to help them develop new products and designs.
