
Reinforcing its commitment to environmental protection, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) recently led a tree planting activity in Barangay Burgos, San Jose.
District Engineer Neil Farala emphasized that the initiative is a vital step in mitigating the effects of climate change, including extreme weather events and rising sea levels.
The activity, conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) – Tarlac Chapter and the Tarlac Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), underscores the department’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability.
