
Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – In a series of successful anti-crime operations, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) apprehended six individuals and confiscated Php 1.23 million worth of illegal drugs, along with unlicensed firearms and ammunition, in Bulacan, Pampanga, and Angeles City.
The intensified operations began on the night of February 26, 2025, when authorities conducted a joint anti-illegal drug operation in Brgy. Pulong Buhangin, Santa Maria, Bulacan. Spearheaded by Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Santa Maria Municipal Police Station (MPS) and supported by the Bulacan Police Intelligence Unit (PIU), Bulacan PIT East, Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU3), and PDEA Bulacan, the operation led to the arrest of two individuals identified as alias “Mang Jess”, a 59-year-old painter from Albay, and alias “Bunso”, a 27-year-old painter and resident of Santa Maria, Bulacan.
Seized from the suspects were approximately 128 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 870,400.00, along with drug paraphernalia. The suspects were immediately taken into custody at Santa Maria MPS for proper documentation and legal proceedings.
A few hours later, at around 2:15 AM on February 27, 2025, authorities intensified their security efforts with a COMELEC checkpoint operation along Filam Friendship Highway, Brgy. Cutcut, Angeles City. Led by personnel from Police Station 5 and Police Station 2 of the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), the operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Gio”, who was riding a red Honda TMX 155 motorcycle.
Upon inspection, the suspect failed to present a valid driver’s license and vehicle registration. Officers then noticed the grip of a handgun protruding from his belt bag, prompting an immediate search. Seized from his possession were one caliber .38 revolver (without a serial number), eight live rounds of ammunition, eight medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu weighing 40 grams, with an estimated street value of Php 196,448.00, and one black belt bag.
The crackdown continued in the early morning as the City of San Fernando Police Station (CSFPS) Intelligence/SDEU team carried out an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation in Brgy. Sto. Niño, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Three suspects were apprehended: alias “Jamen”, a 37-year-old Joyride driver from Rodriguez, Rizal; alias “Kulot”, a resident of City of San Fernando, Pampanga; and alias “Abdul”, a 37-year-old security guard from Quezon City.
During the operation, authorities confiscated 25 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php 170,000.00, along with one Caspian .45 caliber pistol (without a serial number), loaded with seven live rounds of ammunition.
With these successful operations, PBGEN Jean Fajardo, Regional Director of PRO3, reaffirmed the Philippine National Police’s commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and firearms.
“These operations are clear proof of our relentless campaign to protect our communities from the threats posed by criminal elements. We will not allow lawless individuals to disrupt peace and order, especially during this crucial election period. As we continue to enforce the law with unwavering determination, we urge the public to remain vigilant and support our mission in making our neighborhoods safer for everyone,” she stated.
The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated illegal drugs and firearms, are now under police custody as further investigations and legal proceedings are underway.
