Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3), led by Police Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo, continues to make significant progress in its campaign against communist insurgency, with multiple individuals voluntarily surrendering and renouncing support for the CPP-NPA-NDF and its allied organizations from January 14 to 18, 2025.
In Baler, Aurora, alias “LJ,” a former member of Iskwad Tersera Bagong Hukbong Bayan, surrendered to the Aurora 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company on January 15, turning over a .38 caliber revolver. In Bataan, two members of Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Bataan, identified as “Dencio” and “Neil,” voluntarily withdrew their support on the same day, handing over a .22 caliber rifle during operations conducted by the Bataan 1st PMFC.
On January 18 in Limay, “Ka Roma,” a former member of the Lino Blas Command, surrendered with an improvised 12-gauge shotgun, explosive materials, and ammunition, further strengthening efforts to dismantle insurgent activities in the area.
In Olongapo City, “Ka Ramon” turned himself in on January 17, surrendering an improvised shotgun and a fragmentation grenade. His reintegration process is being facilitated, with financial assistance provided to aid his return to a peaceful life. Meanwhile, in Nueva Ecija, coordinated police operations resulted in multiple surrenders. “Ka Estong” surrendered on January 16 in San Jose City with a homemade .38 caliber revolver.
Furthermore, seven members of Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid in Guimba and five members of Alyansa ng Mamamayang Nagkakaisa in Laur renounced their support for insurgent-linked organizations. In Bulacan, two individuals, “Ka Tets” and “Enteng,” surrendered on January 14 and 16, respectively, turning over firearms, including a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver and a 9mm pistol.
PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo commended the collaboration of police units and local communities in achieving these successes. She urged remaining insurgents to leave their activities behind and rebuild their lives. “These yields highlight our relentless efforts to end violence and foster peace in Central Luzon. We encourage others to embrace the government’s reintegration programs and choose a peaceful, productive path,” she said.
These achievements underscore the success of the government’s Oplan Balik-Loob program, providing financial aid, livelihood support, and reintegration services to former rebels, while advancing efforts to end local insurgency and promote peace and development in Central Luzon.
