A broad network that aims to press for justice and accountability of Rodrigo Duterte and his cohorts for violations on human rights and International Humanitarian Law committed under the former president will be launched on Monday, November 25.
The Duterte Panagutin network unites the families of EJK victims, victims of Duterte’s bloody drug war, rights advocates, and various groups from the church, academe, and other sectors.
Among the network initiators are former Sen. Leila de Lima, Adamson University President Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, Rise Up member Llore Pasco, Adamson University College of Law Dean Ada Marie Abad, former Ateneo de Manila University School of Government Dean Tony La Viña, Prior Provincial of the Carmelite Philippine Province of St. Titus Brandsma Fr. Rico Ponce, O.Carm, Fr. Flavie Villanueva, Movement Against Tyranny Convenor Mo. Mary John Mananzan, OSB, and Karapatan Vice Chairperson Edita Burgos.
Amidst the ongoing investigations of the International Criminal Court and Quad committee on the Duterte regime’s drug war, the Duterte Panagutin network shall strive to prod the Marcos Jr. administration to hold Duterte accountable and conduct a public information campaign that promotes human rights, dignity, freedoms, and justice.
