DPWH- Nueva Ecija 2nd DEO welcomes Panaligan

DISTRICT Engineer Robert Jay Panaligan, is the new DE of DPWH-Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office who is poised to continue the legacy of progress and service in the district.

“I am excited to take on this role and build upon the strong foundation laid by Engineer Trinidad. Together, we will strive to further enhance our infrastructure and serve our community effectively,” Panaligan remarked.

District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has officially retired after over 35 years of dedicated service, including nearly three years leading the Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO), marking a significant transition in leadership.

During his tenure, Trinidad made substantial contributions to infrastructure development in the province’s 3rd and 4th legislative districts, overseeing projects that improved road and bridge conditions, enhanced flood control measures, and constructed essential public buildings, all of which fostered economic growth.

In his retirement address, Trinidad reflected on his journey with the DPWH, expressing gratitude to his stakeholders for their collaboration and support in achieving milestones in infrastructure development that positively impacted the community.

“It has been an honor to serve in this capacity and to witness the positive changes in our district. I am proud of what we have accomplished together,” he stated.

District employees extend their best wishes to Trinidad for a rewarding retirement and express gratitude for his invaluable contributions to public service while looking forward to continuing their focus on delivering quality infrastructure and services under the new leadership.

The turnover ceremony was attended by Bureau of Maintenance (BOM) Assistant Director Edgardo Cuenco, Region 3 Assistant Director Melquiades Sto. Domingo, Maintenance Division Chief Marisa Miguel, personnel from the Las Piñas-Muntinlupa District Engineering Office, Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineering Office key officials, and other colleagues.
