Constructed in phases, the facility will serve as a versatile venue for local events, including conferences, fairs, and cultural gatherings, with each stage designed to enhance its functionality and better serve the community of Gapan City and its neighboring areas.

According to Trinidad, Phase 1 began in 2023 with a budget of P29.7 million for foundational work, structural framing, and roofing, while Phase 2 started this year with a budget of P9.9 million, which includes floor and wall finishing, ceiling installation, painting, and the addition of tempered glass doors and windows.

โ€œThe ongoing second phase will significantly enhance the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the convention center through modern finishes and tempered glass features, creating an inviting atmosphere that meets practical needs while reflecting our community’s identity,โ€ Trinidad added.

Meanwhile, Assistant District Engineer Robert Jay Panaligan noted that the completion of the convention center will enhance Gapan Cityโ€™s capacity to host significant events and community activities, reinforcing its role as a key location for both local and regional gatherings.

Additionally, Panaligan mentioned that a planned Phase 4 will involve the construction of another building within the vicinity, aimed at further expanding the facility’s capabilities to accommodate a broader range of activities.

The completion of the convention center is expected to create jobs and boost local economic activity in hospitality, retail, and tourism, while enhancing Gapan Cityโ€™s appeal as a premier destination for visitors with its vibrant festivals and rich cultural heritage.
