DPWH completes 562-meter road project in Porac

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office has successfully completed a 562-lineal meter road project in Barangay Calzadang Bayu, Porac.
Funded under the 2024 national budget, this P4.875 million project has transformed previously unpaved and muddy paths into a more reliable surface for daily transportation, significantly improving local mobility.

District Engineer Gregorio Audea, Jr. noted that, despite its modest length, the project has greatly enhanced road safety and convenience for residents within the barangay.

“Although the paved section of this road is relatively short, its impact on local safety and ease of travel has been significant. The newly paved surface provides a safer and more dependable route for residents, especially during the rainy season,” Audea explained.

Meanwhile, residents have expressed their satisfaction with the improvements, noting that the newly paved roads have made walking more comfortable during the rainy season, with Arman Macaspac specifically thanking the government for the progress and hoping for continued support for future infrastructure projects in their community.

In response to this feedback, Audea emphasized that such projects contribute to local development and progress by improving residents’ lives and proposed concreting the remaining unpaved sections.
