COPS SEIZE OVER P1.3M ILLEGAL DRUGS IN 24-HOUR OPERATIONS IN CL

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – In a determined crackdown on illegal drugs, law enforcement agencies in Pampanga, Zambales, and Angeles City arrested six individuals and seized significant quantities of suspected shabu worth more than P1.3 million in a series of operations conducted on Monday, August 19.
The first operation took place at around 10:25 PM in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales. The Subic Municipal Police Station’s Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zambales, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Zambales Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and the Zambales 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), successfully apprehended suspects known as “Tisoy” and “Nahi.”
The operation led to the confiscation of 62.3 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of PHP 423,640.00.
Earlier that evening, at about 7:10 PM, the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU), in coordination with Police Station 2 (PS2), conducted another anti-drug operation behind Pampang Public Market in Barangay Lourdes North West, Angeles City.
The operation resulted in the arrest of “Brandon,” a 23-year-old listed as a high-value individual (HVI), and the seizure of 65 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 442,000.00.
In a subsequent operation at 11:00 PM, the Pampanga Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and the San Fernando City Police Station, in coordination with PDEA Region 3, executed a buy-bust operation at the New Public Market in Barangay Del Pilar, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
This operation led to the arrest of three suspects: “Asgar,” 31 years old; “Janet,” 27 years old; and “Jordan,” 34 years old. Authorities confiscated 77 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 523,600.00
“These achievements highlight the effectiveness of our intelligence-driven approach to curbing the drug supply. They also underscore our unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal drugs in the region as we strive to create drug-free communities,” said PBGen Jose Hidalgo Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3).
