ANGELES CITY – For the third year, Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. will start distributing school gear and supplies to 93,000 students in 56 public schools here starting on September 25, 2024.
Lazatin will personally visit the city’s 56 public schools to give the uniforms, shoes, bags, notebooks, and ballpens to the students.
“This is part of our administration’s commitment to support our youth and ensure that they are well-prepared for the school year. We believe that no child should be left behind, and providing them with the necessary school essentials is one step towards that goal,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas with Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel already presided over the meeting finalizing the logistics and schedules of the distribution.
To recall, part of the priority programs of Lazatin is to provide quality education to the youth.
It is during Lazatin stint that the distribution of school gear and supplies started, a first in the city and in the Pampanga province that a local government unit had distributed school supplies.
In 2023, Mayor Lazatin distributed the school gear and supplies to all the public elementary, junior, and senior high schools, benefitting 93,053 students.
