CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — The 25th Likha ng Central Luzon generated a total of P64.86 million in sales.
The trade fair was held from October 25 to 29, 2023 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) OIC-Regional Director Brigida Pili disclosed that total sales is 13 percent more than last year which was pegged at P57.049 million.
“The remarkable sales achieved during this Likha [trade fair] underscore the economic impact and potential of our micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs),” she said.
Of the total sales, P43.95 million came from booked orders; P12.02 million from sales under negotiation; and P8.97 million came from cash sales.
Records also showed that Bataan generated the highest sales among the seven provinces with about P24.61 million.
It was followed by Pampanga with 10.57 million; Tarlac—10.49 million; Nueva Ecija—P7.1 million; Bulacan—P6.6. million; Aurora—P2.7 million; and Zambales—P2.5 million.
Aside from marketing support through trade fairs, Pili said DTI continues to support MSMEs through capability building seminars to help develop their technical capabilities to become exporters; as well as product development activities to help them develop new products and designs.
A total of 165 MSMEs showcased their products during the five-day fair that was organized by DTI in partnership with PhilExport Region 3.
It was supported by the Regional Development Council 3 and the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc.
