A total of 2,000 students from the town of Guiguinto, Bulacan received educational assistance from Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) under the program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Monday.
Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. led the AICS payout along with 5th District Representative Cong. Ambrosio Cruz Jr. and the Local Government of Guiguinto led by Mayor Agatha Paula Cruz and Vice Mayor Banjo Estrella. Each student received P3,000.
The distribution of the said educational assistance was held at the Guiguinto Oval stadium where Mayor Cruz expressed gratitude to the senator for his continued support to the residents here, particularly the students.
At the same time, Revilla called on the Filipino people and also to the leaders of the government to unite and to put politics aside.
According to Revilla, the welfare of the people must come first and not their personal issues and interests.
