CITY OF MALOLOS – Nineteen jobseekers were hired on the spot during the 2025 Singkaban Job Fair held last Saturday at Robinsons Place Malolos, a significant outcome for the event that connected local and overseas companies with Bulacan’s workforce, organized by the Provincial Government of Bulacan’s Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
The fair offered over 2,000 job vacancies from various companies and recruitment agencies wherein 976 jobseekers attended, 177 applicants were considered “near-hires,” meaning they are in the final stages of the hiring process and 19 immediate hires.
One of the lucky applicants was Jean Jasmin Dela Cruz, a fresh graduate who landed a service crew position at Jollibee through Staff Search Asia.
“Malaking tulong po ang job fair na ito lalo na sa mga katulad kong fresh graduate. Hindi ko akalain na agad akong matatanggap at magsisimula na akong magtrabaho. Ngayon pa lang, sobrang excited na ako sa bagong journey na ito,” she shared.
To streamline the application process, the event included a “One-Stop Shop Government Services” counter, allowing jobseekers to access essential documents from agencies like the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), DOLE, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Social Security System (SSS).
This proactive approach helped applicants secure the necessary paperwork on-site, a critical step for many employers.
In a separate but related effort, the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” program was also held, providing a TUPAD payout and awarding of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) benefits to 672 recipients.
