ANGELES CITY — Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. ordered the release of mid-year bonus for the 1,216 City Hall employees here — 865 permanent, 337 casual, and 14 contractual, today, May 16, 2023.
Flordeliza Santos, President of the Angeles City Employees for a New and Dynamic Angeles (AGENDA), expressed her gratitude to Mayor Lazatin for pushing through with the measure.
“On behalf of the employees of the Angeles City Hall, we would like to thank Mayor Pogi Lazatin for always ensuring the timely release of the Mid Year Bonus. Ramdam po namin ang malasakit at pagmamahal ni Mayor hindi lamang po sa siyudad kung di pati sa mga empleyado,” Santos said.
“He always makes it a point that we, the employees are well taken cared for and with that, we are even more motivated to work hard towards his vision of a better Angeles City. Muli po, maraming salamat po Mayor Pogi Lazatin! Mabuhay po kayo,” she added.
Lazatin, in turn, expressed that it is imperative for employees to be in receipt of cash bonuses for their hard work and impediment.
“Higit na mahalaga po ang ano mang porma ng tulong para sa mga empleyado. Hindi po biro ang sakripisyo ng ating mga empleyado,” Lazatin said.
Lazatin also voiced his sincere thanks to the City Hall employees for their hard work.
“I am truly indebted to the City Hall employees, dahil po sakanila ay patuloy pa rin ang operasyon ng pagbibigay serbisyo sa ating mga minamahal na Angeleño,” Lazatin claimed.
Aforementioned bonuses for employees amount to a one-month basic pay each.
This measure is in reference to Republic Act No. 11466 and the National Budget Circular No. 579 issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) last January 24, 2020.
